About Us

VALLARIS ADVISORS has built a reputation on helping Board and C-Suite leadership with the kinds of Cybersecurity, Investment and Retirement Program expertise to complete or get on top of new or evolving requirements. We know what it takes to make a difference because we have been in your seats.

We are named after the Corona Vallaris -- the special decoration conferred on the first soldier or Centurion to overcome a well defended enemy palisade.  We take pride in making sure that is the appropriate decoration for each of our clients.

Though we no longer fight wars with swords, combinations of insight, commitment to achieve important ends, leadership and teamwork remain hallmarks of what corporate leaders most need to overcome their most pressing, often seemingly insurmountable, challenges.

Our team focuses in the areas of Cybersecurity, Investment Program optimization and Retirement Plan innovation.

Our consultants have prior experience working with Boards, Audit Committees, CFO, General Counsel, Risk Management and CIO/CISO roles.

We specialize in Board and C-Suite advisory services and have specialty expertise in investment, audit and cyber (CISSP).

Managing Director, James Gerber, has amassed nearly 30 years’ experience forecasting risk, setting the strategy, and driving revenue growth for some of the world’s largest public and private businesses.

Importantly, he has worked in cybersecurity at the national security level and with Directors and C-Suite leadership of Global 2000 companies for the last eight years.  In his primary role as  CFO of SimSpace, he has led its business and financial operations to support global growth, playing a key role in the commercial deployment of its Cyber Force Platform. Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton, and an MBA from Harvard University in Finance and Operations.

Jamie has previously held CFO roles in the formative years at IronNet,  at WorldStrides and at the prestigious Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) as a financial regulator and leader. During his tenure at that multi-billion-dollar pension insurer, Jamie focused on shaping policy, examining and managing  systemic risks, tapping into the demands of insurers and audit committees and directing the investment portfolio as it grew to over $50 billion of AUM.

Jamie also served on Princeton University's Advisory Board at its Center for Information Technology Policy (CITP) and as Chair of the Advisory Council at the Keller Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
